I am a digital geek from the early days of digital imaging, starting in 1982 with a Sony Betacam screen grab in Photoshop 2.0. I've been with MegaVision, Inc, the first digital camera available for commercial purchase in 1987 using a 4 megapixel vidicon monochrome tube and a three pass filter wheel. Today we lead the cultural heritage photo segment with a 150 megapixel thermoelectrically cooled Sony sensor, illuminated with our own multispectral LED lights (10 bands of visible, 3 bands of UV, and 5 bands of IR) from 365nm to 1050nm. We incite fluorescence and discriminate emission from excitation with dual filter wheels containing Wratten 25, 58, 47, UV pass, UV block, and 21. We image with our multispectral lens, par focal from 340nm to 1100nm. Everything is computer controlled with our Photoshoot 5 capture app.
I am attempting to learn astrophotography after waiting most of my life for a telescope, hence my interest in SiriL. A big learning curve to be sure.
