In this video I am doing a retrospective of my street photography from 2023. There are some two hundred fifty street photos in this video so grab a beverage and please enjoy.
The black and white photos were processed with RawTherapee and GIMP on Arch Linux, while the vast majority of the colour images are SOOC jpegs from a Fuji X-T2 and X-T3.

A good body of work for a year. A lot of good images in there. I was struck by the percentage of your subjects that knew they were getting shot.
Not as good as I’d like but hey… it is what it is.
My subjects often notice me shooting for two reasons. One is that I am shooting 35-50mm so that means that I am often quite physically close to them and I don’t necesarrily try to hid my presence or the fact that I’m taking photos. If I can be candid, fine, that’s preferable, but if I’m spotted, I have no qualms about it.
And two, a lot of times my subjects are family members. In these pictures there’s my wife, my mother in law, my mum, a couple of my uncles…
