i am reporting a little development in the black and white spektrafilm quest.
i digitized some cine stocks: kodak_triplex kodak_doublex and kodak_2302
i have to fine tune the grain model, i will do it in the next days, but i could not resist to add some spectral color filters to the virtual camera. i digitized some typically used hoya color filters.
here are few examples.
kodak double-x (9 mi development)
kodak 2302 (7 min development)
no filter
kodak double-x (9 mi development)
kodak 2302 (7 min development)
hoya y2 spectral filter
kodak double-x (9 mi development)
kodak 2302 (7 min development)
hoya r1 spectral filter
kodak gold 200
kodak endura premier
default
(files are on the larger size to showcase the grain, i hope this is a welcome exception, i know the policies for keeping files compact)
i am experimenting also with some chemistry parameters
that allows to tune the development and “screw up” the the curves if wanted. it is fully possible to print black and white film on RA-4 paper and obtain tinted prints.
here some examples with enlarger filters: (left) 0Y0M, (center) -4Y0M, (right) 4Y4M
here is another example printed on portra endura, and below messing up with the print chemistry panel (gamma factor red 1.16, gamma factor blue 0.78)
