a dog named Nala

Nice image! I’m a cat person, but this is really an amazing picture.
Your blacks are really good in my impression, but as i watched your image the very bright white in the middle made me overlook the eyes. I had to look at some other renderings to realise the deep „soul“ view of the dog. ( but i am viewing on an iPhone display…)

i have just looked at my picture on my laptop (calibrated max 76% RGB)
yes … I don’t see any more structure in the white fur :no_mouth:.
damn the eizo is too good ….
I’ll probably have to rework that

Looks fantastic on my iPhone now ( and on my ok-ish Lg 32 4K Monitor). Now the eyes, which you really worked out very well, are for me the main focus of attraction.

damn, … on my monitor I am missing the white again …

interesting, this is the first time that i notice such a difference between my two systems.
so far I have always found the results to be quite “equivalent”.

When you blur or sharpen the textures, make sure the light and dark areas receive a balanced treatment. For the most part, it seems that the light areas tend to be enhanced and dark areas degraded.

With this example I explained how to use the retouch module.
