A new 'light table' app for Linux

I created (ahem vibe coded) a light table for linux desktop. Inspired by Shotwell, and Apple Aperture this app uses a self hosted Immich as the DAM backend, then allows the user to perform round-trips to ART, RawTherapee, or Darktable.

It doesn’t replace any of these great tools; it sits between them and allows a user to have a simple and seamless view and raw editing flow, while using Immich as a first class DAM.

You may ask - why? Because none of the tools that exist had the user experience I wanted, and none of them worked across each other, or allowed me to see and edit my library within my home.

Feature set:

  • Round-trip RAW editing with art, rawtherapee, or darktable. Open, edit, close, done!
  • Copy/paste image processing & metadata across photos
  • Headless batch reprocessing: apply RAW edits to whole selections without opening a GUI
  • Loupe: hover-magnify thumbnails for that light-table-and-loupe feel
  • Smart Stacking: auto-groups RAW+JPEG pairs, edit versions, or burst shots by name/version/time
  • Fast culling: star ratings, favorites, and rejects
  • Export to folder or share straight to Flickr (other sites coming soon)
  • Built-in printing with paper size and preview.
  • Customizable keyboard shortcuts
  • Uses tailscale for connecting to your library remotely.

Enjoy!
