I took this one in 2010 on a trip through Australia. We had really bad weather. I tinkered a lot with this image over the years. Mainly because I wanted to see how much I can get out of it.
Now I am curious what others can get out of this one.

Despite increasing saturation, the result keeps almost B&W

Thanks.
An attempt with Photoflow enhanced usm branch (although sharpening wasn’t my goal here)

Another almost monochromatic and grainy look:

@silicoid Interesting photo. Thanks for sharing.
It reminds me of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie .

Nice! You get even more detail out of the clouds. And yes, I do love that dark mood of the picture.

Yep, there isn’t a lot of color information in that picture to begin with.

I did go the “blue taint” way before as well. Gives an interesting effect.

My try.
Reduced the blue component.
Added some grain.
Create a selection because the zones at the corners are not easy to manage.
Increased dramaticity as resulting effect.

Of the various results this one has a pleasing smooth look with enhanced detail, especially in the clouds. So challenging shooting with a grey sky.
