Over the last few years I’ve spent the occasional hour or two, now and again, trying to better understand this thing called “ACES”. Quite awhile back I downloaded a lot of the official documentation and read through much of it - but like documentation in general it made for very dry reading.

FWIW and as an aside, on my computer the pictures weren’t displayed in the PDF using qpdview, an issue I’ve encountered before when using qpdfview. They do display in other PDF readers. I used mupdf so I could see the pictures, but likely Okular and etc also will work.
