I use Siril(wonderful application with lots of flexibility in scripting thankyou Siril engineers.) one of my last steps in my automation is to save an image that has the objects annotated AND in a png format. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a command in Siril to be able to perform this function and to annotate, requires one to click the “display objects” button in the GUI. I have used Astap via scripting to perform this function however the image is messed up and I have a open question in that group as well. Does anyone know of a method via scripting or a workaround to be able to get a png/jpg annotated image out of Siril in an automated fashion? Thank you.
Hello for now this is not possible.
The main reason is because this is purely a UI feature.
Indeed, the button make a snapshot of the displayed image at the displayed resolution.
