I am trying out ansel mainly for the photographic grain module, which seems to produce very nice results.
However I am having hard time understanding how its primaries work? And it is true for the color calibration module as well as the split toning module.
The rgb primaries in darktable or lightroom dont affect white balance but in ansel moving the primaries sliders tints the image.
Are there any gurus able to explain how this works? How can I get similar result as darktables rgb primaries?
It looks like a different beast… using primary and secondary color nodes to create a lut which you can then modify with other controls…
The split toning looks like a way to basically do something similar to what you would do using multiple copies of CC to handle mixed illuminants but it looks a bit complicated at first glance so I would really have to spend some time with that…
At first the CC module looks the same as DT but I might not have the latest Ansel…
