Any info or news on darktable version 5.6.1 or 5.7?

#20442 is still pending, though – correction – #21390 is fixed (Linux okay, unknown status for Windows)

20442 is not listed as your issue. It only shows that you had one comment in it months ago. It was closed and re-open and it is unclear if it is still an issue. I recommend you install 5.6.1 and report if the issue is still there in your system so it could be fixed for 5.8 (currently Dec26). I would start a new one since the other one is not clear and just reference the other one.

Yeah, an issue already existed by the time I was to write a report so that’s why it’s not “mine”.

Fine, I’ll try 5.6.1 most likely later today.

So it turns out actually none of my issues have been fixed in 5.6.1. Hovering over images in lighttable steals focus, there are several (about five or six) command line windows popping on startup and the scrolling of module sliders is still broken. No change at all, sadly.

Gotta wait for .2 release or 5.8 I guess… and gotta write the issues then…

Sadly, the person that reported the issue did not test the fix…

Since there is no other “5.6.1 is out” thread:

Whatever bugs that nay not be solved yet, just reading the list of all the bugs that actually are fixed, an humble user who doesn’t take part in GitHub, realizes:

a) the complexities of dt and the many details developers has to handle,

b) all the work that is done on darktable more behind the scene.

Thanks a lot to all that have contributed!
