Anyone else having issues with curves and histogram in RT 4.2.896?

Just updated to the latest dev version and now the curves and histogram ghost in a way that makes it impossible to use. As you move the curve, instead of moving it, it just makes the curve over and over and over again.

Let me know if I need to make a bug report or what.

Thanks!

There have been similar issues reported; uninstall, (backup and) remove your settings, old theme files etc. and make a clean install. This should help.

@djotaku,

You should go to preferences and select the TooWaBlue theme.

That doesn’t fix it. If it helps, when I start I get this error on the commandline:

Error: Can’t load css file “/usr/share/rawtherapee/themes/25-Gray-Gray.css”

OOps, looks like I had to reload after TooWah. Now it’s fixed. At least for that theme.

Your settings reffered to an old theme from Gtk2 which is not compatible with the Gtk3 version.

That is why I suggested some clearing; especially if switching from gtk2 to gtk3 and back. Be well!

Ah, there you go. That makes sense. I wish I’d come to the forum before working on my Easter portraits, but I was able to do well enough with my intuition.

Hey Guys,

I’m seeing this issue again. But Too-Wah doesn’t help. Deleting my theme files doesn’t help. Different error this time, though:

Please provide more informations. Which version and build of rt for example…

Sorry, it’s been a crazy weekend.

rawtherapee-gtk3 4.2.1105-1.1 from the Fedora repo at the rawtherapee website. Fedora 24.

If it helps with the diagnosis, everything is also giant-sized now.

Like there’s so much spacing between objects and to see the drop menu for the curves, I have to make the right panel take up most of the screen.

I also double-checked on my laptop - also running Fedora 24. Same issue.

I am on Fedora 23 and RawTherapee 4.2.1105 and don’t see the control size problem. Fedora 24 swtiched to GTK 3.20, which broke the previous theme API pretty badly from what I understand; I would try a theme that is known to work with GTK 3.20, such as Arc Dark, and see if that fixes the problem.

Right now, RT themes are not kompatible with GTK3.20.

This explains why the internet has been pitching a fit about GTK and APIs. Since I use KDE, I hadn’t come across the issue.

Where do I get this theme? Is it a RT theme?

They want to improve the Gtk+ situation by doing this:
https://blogs.gnome.org/desrt/2016/06/13/gtk-4-0-is-not-gtk-4/

That can only be a good thing!

Indeed. Of course, I get to smack myself for thinking everything seemed fine and I could upgrade Fedora without consequences. The usual suspects were OK - no problems with Nvidia drivers, etc. Oh well…

Does anyone know what I might do to the CSS to make things work a little better while I wait for new RawTherapee or TooWah themes? I suck at CSS, but if there’s a quick find/replace I could do. The spacing issues aren’t as big a deal to me as having a usable adjustment curve.

Arc Dark is available here http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3AHorst3180&package=arc-theme

Is this a Rawtherapee theme or a GTK theme?

edit: I see it’s a GTK theme. How would I use it? I’m on KDE. Also, how would it fix Rawtherapee?
