Anyone going to the Libre Graphics Meeting?

I’ll be there on Wednesday, and possibly Saturday. Is anyway else going?

@betazoid has gone before, I believe.

Not this year, no.

Sorry for the late reply. I was there, but I didn’t follow pixls.us the last days. Just for your information, I’m planning to go to Linz again next year, hopefully with more photography enthusiasts.

How was the conference? What was the atmosphere like? Did @Tobias and @bastibe meet and have discussions? How many people were there?

I actually might go to Linz in 2027 because it’s close to Vienna, there are cheap train tickets, so I’ll say I’ll probably be there, if not during the whole conference.

However, we should try to agree on a date/time where at least three of us will be there. However, that probably won’t be possible before we know the actual program.

Will @grubernd go to Linz next year?

I don’t know yet though if I will host a workshop or give a lightning talk.

I will definitely go to next years Grazer Linuxtage because it’s awesome and there are a lot of people who are interested in photography. I’d almost suggest to use the Grazer Linuxtage as a libre photography meetup “occasion” instead of the Libre Graphics Meeting.

I really liked it. It feels like the LGM is back. The only downside was that there seemed to be fewer photography enthusiasts there. People interested in VJ software filled the gap.

No, but I had a lot of discussions with other people there, especially with the GIMP team.

Without knowing the exact numbers, I would estimate 60–80.

Btw. A date for the next LGM is expected to be set in 3–4 weeks.

I could only take part on the first day, but it was wonderful. Everyone I talked to had a great story to tell, and was enthusiastic and genuine. It was great fun! Next time, I hope I’ll be able to stay longer.

@garrett was there, too. We had a great time during the photo walk in the evening of the first day.
