I just wanted to give a huge round of applause to I assume Alberto for implementing the Base Curve functionality in ART. You see, there are many solutions to highlights rolloff, but few of them achieve the goal of seamless highlights compression, like color negative/B&W film does.
Then there’s the base curve in ART. Therein lies the solution to my highlights headaches: a proper filmic rendering of HDR (14-bit) RAW images.
