As falls the quercus...

It’s that time of year (here in the northern hemisphere) when the Gambel Oaks (quercus gambelli) first begin to drop their leaves. Here’s one I just caught in the yard.

Shot handheld with mirrorless Canon M6ii through EF-M pancake 22mm/f2 lens, using a small extension tube and a diffused flash @ 1/8th power. Shutter 1/200th, aperture f/8, ISO=100.
