Astrophotography with vintage lenses, specifically the wonderful Sigma Super Wide II 2.8/24 | A stacking and postprocessing tutorial

The video turned out pretty long, but it’s a pretty elaborate process, if not overly complicated, so grab a beer, a soda, a coffee or a beer and please enjoy.

In this video I briefly talk about how to capture the necessary frames for stacking of the Milky Way.

I then take you through my entire workflow, from stacking the images in Sequator to compositing light painted foreground frames and eventually some post processing of the final image.

The raw files were stacked in Sequator under WINE, on Manjaro Linux.
The resulting image and the foreground frames were composited and post processed in GIMP on Manjaro Linux.

The video was recorded with SONY a7R and the lovely Konica Hexanon AR 1.4 which I reviewed here:

Footage from my PC was captured with OBS and edited with DaVinci Resolve, on Manjaro Linux.
The thumbnail was done with GIMP on Manjaro Linux.

Please do let me know what you think.
