Atxarte: climbing rocks

Here you have a picture with high dinamic range. I allways take care not to burn the highlights, or at least a big area of the picture. If I’m not sure, I always take another “safer” picture with -1EV.

This picture is taken in a place called Atxarte (in basque: between mountains).
These mountains are very close to my house and it’s a good place to learn climbing (not me).

This is an interesting exercise. The original raw is perfectly exposed within the dynamic range, but the middle of that range is empty! My attempt was with Filmulator and then into GIMP. I tried to increase the colour in the rocks. Others have achieved much better results!
