Severely back lighted otter, inspecting the end of my oar. A moment after snapping the shutter I inadvertently twisted the oar. The otter snarled ferociously and attacked the oar with a blazing froth of teeth and boiling water. And then he calmed down and became curious again. I’m glad he didn’t climb up the oar. Late summer. Montana USA.
