Natural light, table near a window on a cloudy day.

My EFS-35mm macro is my favorite lens. It gives such a perspective to macro shots, you are almost in the bread.

My processing:

  • some color balance and exposure correction in Rawtherapee
  • a hint of “freaky details” with Gimp.

To my amazement, this image looks great with only the export profile tone curve, no filmic, basecurve, etc. In rawproc:

using colour balance rgb to create contrast and then a monochrome interpretation with colour calibration module. No masks needed. Edited solely in darktable 3.8
