Since May 20th, I’ve been mostly using the “newwaveletgtk3_5.1-42-gb653c7e8” win64 build provided by Gaaned92, because I like the “Sharp-mask and Clarity” wavelet tool that is new (to me) and so far found uniquely in this build. Anybody have any news when this might make it into the main dev branch? Thanks again to Gaaned92 for win64 builds!

Currently we have to solve a lot of issues with windows gdi handles required by the gui. It seems using gtk3 increased the number of this handles by a large amount compared to gtk2 (for whatever reason) and there also is a maximum of gdi handles per application on windows (10000). Using SETM (Single Editor Tab Mode) that is not a problem, but using METM (Multiple Editor Tabs mode) RT runs out of gdi handles very fast (e.g. open 10 or 11 editors) and crashes.
I’m already working on reducing the handles by removing obsolete gui controls and solving gdi handle leaks.
When that work is completed, we can think about adding new tools.

Waiting for these tools in dev branch, fortunately @jdc updates the newwaveletgtk3 with dev branch from time to time.

@gaaned92 Thanks again! And I forgot to mention that the “Retinex in Wavelet” is nifty too! I don’t use it as much but it does a great job when needed.
@gaaned92 - any chance of an updated Windows build of the new wavelet branch sometime soon? no biggy just curious…

I just merge “waveletnew” with “dev”
I had a lot of difficulties with the files procparams.cc and preferences.cc. I spent a lot of time, the changes due to the new formatting are very numerous and quite complex to manage (I nevertheless realized an astyle 3.)
I hope nevertheless everything works correctly - check!
