Bug? Feature? Shortcuts in DT3.0 are case sensitive.

If I assign a letter as a shortcut, the letter is written as a capital letter in the shortcuts section of the “global preference” dialog box. But Darktable’s keyboard shortcuts are case sensitive. Something I found out after assigning single letters as dynamic shortcuts. Later I accidentally pressed the caps lock key and wondered by the shortcuts did not work anymore.

But if I assign a shortcut “S” with the caps lock pressed, I get no indication that I’ve done so. And if I look at the keyboardrc config file, the shortcut is assigned with the small letter (ie “s”)

I wonder if I should file a bug report. Where do I do that?

That seems like a bug, yes. Please file.

Adding to @paperdigits answer, you should file the bug on darktable’s Github tracker

I find, too, that after I create a shortcut I can’t remove it to reset the field to null.

Am I missing something?
