Can the Geolocation Editor write GPS coordinates into EXIF?

The Geolocation Editor of digiKam looks useful, but it doesn’t seem to write the GPS coordinates into the EXIF data. Do the coordinates only go into the database and not into the EXIF? This is for images that do not have a GPS track associated with them so I’m just selecting the location on the map.

There’s an option in the settings/metadata to write GPS data to metadata, I’d make sure that’s checked:

I didn’t either, I just knew it worked for me. I must have checked that box at some point. :slight_smile:
