I have an older Dell running Windows 10. I downloaded the 64bit version of Raw Therapee. When attempting to run the installer, I got a message that it will not run on my machine. I then tried the 32 version. This too would not run as it is designed for x86 machines. Am I doing something wrong or is there another version available? TIA.
Probably no help at all but I have RT 5.8 64-bit running OK on my older Dell 4-core under Windows 7.
The .exe is in C:\Program Files\RawTherapee\5.8\ for what that’s worth.
Good luck with it.
Where did you download it from? Exactly which file did you download? Can you paste a screenshot showing the exact error message?
Very confusing. I tried installing 5.11, multiple times from the Raw Therapee download page, and each of them failing with the blue warning msg which appeared as soon as I tried to run the exe. file.
This morning I tried the 5.08 file and received the same msg.
Just now, I again downloaded the file and it installed just fine though the .pdf file did not download this time. I wonder if that was the issue all along?
In any event it is now installed, thanks for the responses.
I think it is normal. Because RawTherapee is uncertificated software by Microsoft.
If you see this warning message, click “more info”, and click “Run anyway”, you can install RawTherapee.
This message seems to exist too:
And you can’t simply skip it. I have never seen this myself. Seems to be related to some security and user account settings in windows.
