i’ve tried RT 5.8 today instead of darktable. But it seems like there is a problem with my EOS 6D raw files (see attached screenshot).
Can you give me a hint?

Very likely you used Canon sRaw or mRaw format (which are not raw btw, as they are already demosaiced), and for which there was an issue with 5.8 which is already fixed in development builds.
2728x1816px? Not a raw file from 6D in that case.
Apparently i shot in sRAW only. Is sRAW not supported?
As I mentioned, sRAW is supported by RT, but there was a bug in RT 5.8 which is already fixed in decelopmen builds > 5.8
