Downloaded/installed Rawtherapee 5.10 stable in App Center, and want to go to my second hard drive that has the raw images on it and edit them.
Rawtherapee does not open the folder structure that would allow me to navigate to the mounted hard drive. Why is that? It does me no good to only be able to access the images in the home folder.
If it’s installed as a FlatPak or snap package, there may be security restrictions. Identify which kind of package it is, and then search the forum including the type of package in the search.
I just downloaded the AppImage:

Try what is in the description:
snap connect rawtherapee:removable-media
yea I just saw that now, too. This should be on top of the description in bold letters.
The snap publisher should get auto-connection sorted for that.
