Hello people,
I have DT 4.2.0. In the lighttable view I see only one instance of picture and can’t see duplicate. I have tried grouping icon, but it’s not helping:
But, the problem isn’t solved:
One photo is still not visible. Stars and colors are set to “all”.
Thank you in advance
Go to your file explorer and look at the directory. For each raw file, there should be one XMP file, plus one for each duplicate you created. Does the count match up with what you are seeing, or is the count one more?
It happens to me too (same version of Darktable). If I remember right, clicking the “Expand grouped images” multiple times makes the duplicate images to be visible in Lighttable. It’s annoying anyway.
Any chance you hit reject or some other filter…even then I think you would see it… I never use filters and I never have this issue that’s why I think something must be set filtering out this specific image…just not sure what??
I rarely use filters. I thought it could have been caused by a sorting order I had set in Lighttable (f.i. “modification time”), but it was not the case. And anyway, if I had a filter active or a non default sorting view, clicking multiple times on the icon wouldn’t have changed anything, when in fact it changed the visibility of duplicates.
I supposed it was a wanted behavior by design: you click once and you get the JPEG, you click twice and you get the JPEG + duplicates. Wasn’t it?
