I am am very new to darktable, and I’m currently trying to just use the color picker and pick an area of an image. I am control clicking on the picker icon, but the picker seems to just select the whole image, and I cant move or control it in any way.
I’ve attached a video to try to show what my issue is, I don’t know if I’m just being stupid or not.
It’s difficult to tell from the film whether you are just clicking on the corner squares, or are you really trying to drag them in the direction you want?
Does the squares get stuck?
Can you remove it by clicking the module reset and try again?
What happens if you do a non-ctrl-click first or after? - or deactivate the module and reactivate,
Have you thought that maybe you should have bought something else than Mac?
So ctrl right click on the eyedropper to switch between spot or area. Then when a box appears on the image left click on the image area and drag diagonally to select the area. If wrong area is selected then just go to new starting point and do a left click. I am on a Windows computer so hopefully MAC works the same.
