That first one is a really nice square composition
Thanks. Made in the edit, rather than the capture
On Thursday, 1 May, we went on a walk on one of Switzerland’s many panorama trails (at Hochstuckli). A very pleasant, effortless walk with the ‘usual’ Swiss views. The only trouble was (maybe it was a blessing?): I left the memory card in the reader. The small LX7 has some built-in memory, but I was limited to 6 shots. Here they are:
(I then cheated, and took some with the phone, too.)

Pussy Galore … this beauty was posing for a split second in front of our neightbor’s Benz.
(Bagged more than 1k shots with the tiny 12-32mm Lumix since my arrival and I don’t miss the larger and heavier 12-40mm/f2.8 m.Zuiko a bit. Even thought about selling the latter one, despite the constant f2.8 and extra 8mm at the long end. YMMV.)
I guess so, read good things about it but I guess I’ll stick with the tiny Lumix for another while. It weighs just 70g, almost disappears on the camera and my copy is tack sharp at every FL into the extreme corners. Nothing to complain about except for some easily correctable distortion (like any other zoom and quite a few fixed focus lenses). Resolution wise my copy holds its own against my 15mm/f1.7 ‘Leica’ Lumix and 25mm/f1.8 m.Zuiko as well; not bad.
One more from the neighborhood today (really don’t want to flood this thread )
He just can’t take a hint. This male wood duck had been taking to harassing the female hooded mergansers at my local refuge. First he landed on a log and started encroaching until mama told him to back off:
He then took off to the nearby nest box and got a similar reaction from mama-to-be, who was guarding her eggs:
After much of his antics and flapping of wings, mama finally said enough is enough:
So she bit him in the butt and he took off, not to be seen in those parts for the rest of the day.
Is this the goose version of an X-Wing fighter?
