Carp diem.
I think I need a CPL for the telephoto. The glare is insane due to the strong sun and all the reflections from the water Could’ve used a faster shutter speed but I’m rusty as of late.
I love them all, but especially the snake doctor.
Thank you
I’d like to have a workshop with you…
Yesterday at a funfair. I was on this carousel with my daughter. She still had space between the safety bar and her stomach, while I was uncomfortably squeezed together. Maybe I’m too old for something like this…
it’s extremely embarrassing when you take your daughter on a pirate ship ride and she spews up when it is at the top of the ride, and she is facing down
I’m always willing to learn!
Some years back, the exact same thing happened to me, My young son was in the middle, while I was on the outside. I had painful, bruised ribs for a couple of weeks.
You made my day! lovely pic’s too! Jetze
Due to my rather niche musical tastes I didn’t know who these people were, until I married one of their fans.
First Light! I have a new-to-me Lumix G9 and have taken some “practice shots” to start learning about the camera. I’m shooting with a 25 mm f/1.7 (50 mm equivalent). It’s the fastest lens I’ve ever used.
These were taken in my back yard just before sunrise this morning.
Bougainvillea Flower. It’s the little white thing in the middle - the color is in the bracts, which are specialized leaves.
Lumix G9, 25mm (50 FF eq.), f/1.7 (at 1.7), ISO 6400, 1/160s
DT 5.2.0. There is quite a bit of noise in the raw image (MFT sensor at high gain), but DT did a good job getting it down to a level I find acceptable, even though I don’t know what I’m doing.
My Very Good Boy, Blue. Patiently waiting for his morning walk.
Lumix G9, 25 mm (50 FF Eq.), f/1.7 (at 1.7), ISO 800, 1/160s
DT 5.2.0
Still a bit of noise, but I didn’t need to hit the NR quite so hard this time.
These won’t win any awards, but still I hope you like them.
Had to run an errand in Paris yesterday, so here is a bit of detail of the Pont-Neuf

On the Pirate Ship ride at Barry Island Pleasure Park as kids, a guy next to us bent down to pick something up off the deck just as the automated metal bar that traps you in your seat descended and caught him on the back of the neck. He spent the whole of the ride, including the bit when you’re hanging upside down in your seat with his head stuck between his legs. I guess they’ve improved the safety measures since.
