Very nice photographs. Congrats!
Wow, congrats to her, she really have an eye for composition, the framings are well thought-out and properly level, the subjects are nice too
I would have liked to have that skill lvl at 13 ^^
Ahh i never expected to see grados on this forum. There must be others too, who enjoy music as well as photography. I too own a pair of Grados and like listening with them. Happy listening to you
Representing! Also on the headphones/speakers âaddictionâ. So far got HD600, DT770 250ohm, MSR7, Momentum 3, Vanatoo T0 and KEF Q150 Every one serves a different purpose so Iâm done for now. But am curious to experience the âGrado Experienceâ people talk about.
We spent most of last week at âcabin-in-the-woodsâ, Ponderosa Cabin, Mueller State Park. The largest of the three available cabins, as we had all three generations of the immediate family in tow. I didnât get too ambitious taking pictures, but hereâs a few.
The cabin from the front, a bit of snow:
(Edit: replaced original rendition, didnât like the tone curveâŚ)
The interior, main room:
Looking out the big picture window, featuring our collection of spirts:
We got some good morning and evening light:
I even managed to tame the interior light to get my wifeâs charcuterie board creation:
For @lphilpot, just canât erase the cajun, even in this mountain setting:
Itâs a seafood gumbo, shrimp are underneath the andouille sausage.
The morning light in the place is just inspiring:
Granddaughter and I walked the campground; I want to come back and camp here, when thereâs less snow
Note: no batteries were harmed in the production of these imagesâŚ
Her skills from drawing spill over well into photography. Very good composition and the air perspective of the first one is lovely.
Now the crushing critique: in the third one there is a bit too much brush on the right and a bit missing from the tree. A bit of sky on the side.
But perhaps there was something distracting there, and no sky.
Nice! My birthday meal out (Friday night) was at a little rural seafood buffet just north of Ville Platte. Not the absolute best Iâve ever tasted but still good. We had no difficulty consuming enough to make the hour drive home veeerrryyy quiet⌠blargâŚ
Then Sunday my wife made chicken and sausage gumbo. When that was eaten down to only broth, she cut up and added some stew pork, Rabideaux sausage and onions to it. Mmmmmm! It was good enough for an afternoon nap,
The editing is mine, so if the image is good in general, itâs her achievement, anything bad is my fault.
Good composition! Give her a pat on the back from us.
@kofa Nice to see the results of your daughterâs initiative. Is she also a fan of this site?
@hatsnp Nice plumage and dynamic pose. Cold and snowy here. I am surprised the number of birds that come out on sunny days.
@ggbutcher Great to have that much family at a gathering. It is quite the blessing. Many in modern times, including myself, donât have that.
Looks amazing and very peaceful. Great pictures too!
So comforting to hear and look at your post. Nice place, nice photos, enviable location and atmosphere. Thank you.
Nope, she rarely takes photos, is utterly disinterested in editing them. She draws, but on her Android tablet, not using FOSS (she did try Krita a couple of times, and may be interested in Blender later).
My main headphones are Grado GS-1000e. I love them (with a carefully tailored bass boost).
I started with a pair of MDR-V6s probably 15 years ago in when I was in undergrad. Iâve also got some older 325e, HD600, CD-900st and recently picked up a set of MDR-M1STs second hand off a Japanese auction site. I think some LCD-2 rosewoods are probably my endgame, I picked up some Monoprice M1570 planars on sale and while theyâre good itâs just not the same. I also quite like the Meze sound profile and some 99s Classics are my DD in my bag these days. Open backs donât work well in an office.
From the complete picture - I am amazed by the keyboard!. It brings me some 35 y back
Quite a nostalgic piece of equipment.
I donât know how many expected we would be carrying phones in the palm of our hands and typing right on the screen these days.
