Is it possible to change the default image measure from pixels to inches? I am using GIMP 2.99 with linux mint. I would like GIMP to open with inches selected instead of pixils.
I am unsure which part of GIMP you are referring to. Are you referring to what is displayed along the top of the screen?
When I open GIMP, across the top and down the side of the image the measure is in pixils. I change the measure at the bottom to inches. I can choose pixils, picas, cm,and more. when I reopen GIMP, Iām back to pixils and have to change it again. It should be difficult to save your settings.
In Gimp 2.10 I can set the default image unit as I want: mm, pixels, inches, ā¦ The set unit of measurement is preserved.
In macOS: Gimp > Settings> Default Image

I have set my default image measure to inches. I opened a new image, and it opens in inches. When I close the image and later reopen it, it opens with pixils as the image measure.
