Changing vectorscope color space causes freeze up

So I went to change the color space in vectorscope and dt locked up. I turned off openCL, everything still locks up. I ran dt via the terminal with -d perf and -d pipe and it shows…nothing. Where I would expect to see scope draw, there is nothing. CPU and Memory usage would indicate that something is happening, but it does not resolve after 20min+.

I think perf and pipe are the correct logs to be viewing, but really don’t know. Any ideas?
Version: 5.4.0 (installed from OBS iirc…maybe distro repositories) I updated to 5.4.1 through my distribution repo and no change.
MX (debian 13) linux

Is this a problem for anyone else?

Tried changing all views uv → AzBz → RYB - no crashes. Self-built DT on Fedora 43

Same result with dt 5.4.1 flatpak on Nobara 43 (based on Fedora).

It appears that at some point my histogram profile got set to system display. Turning that back to softproof, sRGB, or aRGB does not cause darktable to freeze up when I change the vectorscope color space.

After a short round of “testing”, things work again so long as I do not use the system display as the histogram profile, which is good enough for my purposes. I am not sure what would cause the issue, but at least there is a “fix”.
