Clarification of colour management in Digikam

I have recently started using Digikam for quick edits to jpegs. Most of my ‘serious’ editing I do with raw files in RawTherapee. In RT, I have the working profile set to ProPhoto, and the output profile set to RTv4_sRGB, and this works perfectly.

At some point it looks like I set the working space in Digikam to ProPhoto. Now that I’m using it as an editor, I’ve noticed that JPG files that have been edited in the Digikam photo editor look wrong on some programs - but fine in others. I’ve learned this is a sign that I’m using a colour profile that isn’t recognized by all my programs. So I tried to fix this by setting the output profile in Digikam to sRGB. Trouble is, there’s no output profile option?

  1. Does this mean the working profile and output profile in Digikam are the same thing?
  2. If that’s the case, I ought to be using sRGB as my working profile I suppose?
  3. There are two sRGB options listed, sRGB.icc and srgb-d65.icm, does it matter which one I pick?

Incidentally, I noticed the problem when my photos looked fine in firefox (viewing my Flickr album), on the facebook messenger app, but not in the Flickr Android app. That’s very surprising for a photo app!
