Cool, I remember how exciting the first time I took my first extreme close-up at 4:1 mag of a leaf.

I can imagine, however this is only about 1.5:1, if not less.

A good cheap way to get in the extreme mag land, is to get bellows, and reverse a 50mm enlarger lens. That is what I do.
