Color Calibration Moudle (CAT)

I am kind of a beginner to Darktable

I kind of understand what the Colour Calibration module does. One of its function is to set the white balance of the pic the other is Channel Mixer, but that is another story!

What I am confused about is the other two tabs , the ‘Colorfullness’ and the ‘Brightness’
What do they do from a practical point of view ?
Does brightness increase the exposure of a specific colour and if so does it interact to change the overall colour of the image ? The same question goes for the ‘Colorfullness’ tab

What is the purpose of the ‘normalize channel’ tic box ?

Hi, did you already read this chapter from the current documentation?

And after you read that page, the best way to understand what those tabs and controls do is try them on a few images. Preferably, images with different colours in them (e.g. flowers on leafy background). If used with some care, it can help to e.g. improve separation between subject and background.

If we try to explain what they do, we would just paraphrase the manual…
