Combining result.fit files for different exposures

How well will Siril stack result.files for different exposures from different sessions? I know it can be done but I do not know if the the results are valid or better than other combining methods.

Hello,
This operation will not be done in siril.
But in a software like Gimp.

This can be done in Sirilic, companion app to Siril.

You can put all the lights, darks and flats for each session and it will do the calibration separately for each session then combine.

Thanks, What I was considering was to put the result.fit files from different sessions in a lights folder and then use a script for lights only. I know it runs and gives a result but I do not know if the result is really any good.

You can do that.

But i think better result will be if all are stacked together. the problem is always the separate calibration needed for each set, which is what Sirilic does well.

You can also take the registered files from Sirilic and stack manually in Siril if you prefer.
