suppose adding an instance of Color calibration, using the grey sliders to make the image monochrome then you can turn that instance on and off.

Could be somehow educational… won’t know unless I try!

Make sure to use the luminance based monochrome preset. It uses XYZ as the adaptation space, and while the difference in the waveform isn’t huge, it does seem to be more accurate than using bypass.
