Copying settings - white balance

Heya,
I frequently struggle with copying settings from image to image because of the white balance settings. Especially when using Strg+Shift+C and selecting “all” the white balance module pops over to “user defined” even though thats not the setting in the source image.

Can someone explain this behaviour?

When I copy settings across I never select all. I select the bare minimum number of modules that I need to copy. I would only copy the white balance module or color calibration module if they were user defined.

Sure, but why does copying the White Balance Module, which is set to “shot to reference” cause it to flip to “User defined” on paste? Is that a bug?

Edit: Long post removed because I fail at reading comprehension today.

I tested this on dt 5.01 and could not replicate the issue. Using selective paste changed the target image WB module to the as shot reference (not user modified). Which version were you using

Thanks for following up. Weirdly today I cant reproduce the behaviour either…So maybe the issue lies in front of the monitor after all ;-). I’ll report back if I find a set of images with which I am able to trigger the behaviour.

I decided to tell myself the issue was solved with 5.2 :-D.
