Cormorants in their courtship plumage

On my walk today I saw these cormorants with the unusual white feathers at their heads. I thought this photo might make a good play raw. Have fun.

A second attempt. Same edit except in Sigmoid module increased contrast to 1.7 which I use for most photos from my camera. I also moved the skew slider to the right to increase contrast in the whiter areas.

With darktable: wb to 4300K, lens correction + denoising. SA700805.ARW.xmp (7.8 KB)
With agx-emulstion: data from Kodak Gold 200 and Endura Premier, 1.15 print exposure, 0Y-3M filters, 1.15 dir couplers, 0.4 um2 grain particle size.
