Crash - gimp-git-2.10.3-20180628.glibc2.15-x86_64.AppImage

Hi,

On Ubuntu 18.04, when I try to rename layer groups, Gimp crashes.

Steps to replicate the crash:

1 - Download and untar this file;
2 - Convert to 32-bit float precision;
3 - Convert to Gimp RBG built-in profile;
4 - Add one layer group and rename it to LCH Lightness blend;
5 - Select the original layer;
6 - Add another layer group and rename it to LCH Chroma blend;
7 - Select the original layer;
8 - Add another layer group and rename it to LCH Hue blend.

For me, it crashes when I try to rename the layer on step 6.

Follows the crash log: GIMP-crash-1531309260.txt (12.5 KB)

Not sure if @Carmelo_DrRaw should be notified about this…

EDIT: I installed the flatpak 2.10.4 version from Gimp web site and so far so good.

It might be due to the 32-bit depth. When I followed @Elle’s tutorial to answer the thread’s questions, I encountered some slowdowns and an indication that the app might not be responding (in win10).

Yeah, maybe.
But as I said before, the official Gimp version doesn’t show that issue.

I just tried it on the Gimp 2.10.4 AppImage and no crash following your instructions.
