Create a number counter

Hello,

I am trying to create an animation for a war map with causalities according this tutorial: https://youtu.be/3_oGrZvEFU8?si=eP3ergrmNm5vyqPx&t=698

I have an Idea, that I can get use of text node (Draw > Text) with a counting expression:

My main idea is make use of %frame variable in order to manipulate the numbers and additional time text node. However I am not familiar with this expression language, and there is no documentation on its syntax or functions.

Can somebody give a hint where to start searching for the information on this expression language functions?

I have no idea I’m afraid. Although this forum has a Natron category there doesn’t seem a lot of activity with it - maybe there is another Natron specific group out there?

Thank you for response. One more question about this expression syntax. Is it pure Python? I want to lookup for more complex implementations.
