After importing a OSC ( RGB ) dedicated astro cam .fit file into Siril , how can I separate the RGB image into respective Red Green Blue images - then save each individual mono data file to a folder.
Image processing ->Extraction->Split channel
Thank you sir - I found that, but is there a setting to save the separate .tif files in 16 or 32 bit.
I am importing the files into Affinity Photo which works well with 32 bit
I appreciate the prompt reply
Well convert your file in 32 bits in siril before splitting it.
I apologize for asking such rookie questions - I read on another forum, a Siril user imported original processed OSC .tif files from Affinity into Siril to split out the RGB.
Then he imported those individual files into Affinity -editing them in the same way as Mono files for a broader range of editing tools
When I tried this with 32 bit OSC .fit files imported into Siril, split the files - they were converted to 8 bit - I guess that is my question. How can I keep the RGB split files in 32 bit format ?
thank you again
The split command should not change the bit depth.
Iām not sure to understand what you are doing.
