crop and scale up images during Astrometric Registration

Hello,
I’m having a question when using the Astrometric Registration Tool.
I have 4 images, one with a smaller resolution than the rest. This image also has a more narrow FOV than the rest but has the best quality as it is a luminance image and was taken with the best camera, so I want this image to be the reference image of the sequence and the rest of the images should be cropped and then scaled accordingly to this image.

In my case, Siril always selects an image with a higher resolution and FOV as reference image and scales down the rest accordingly but I want the images with the smallest FOV as reference image and the rest should be cropped and scaled (up) to fit this image. Is this currently possible?

Hello and welcome,
does Siril selects another reference image when you select the one you want as reference?

Yes, Siril selects automatically an other one.

Hi,

the whole registration feature is still undergoing significant changes: https://gitlab.com/free-astro/siril/-/merge_requests/686
Once this is merged, what you are asking for should be possible using current as framing option.

Cheers,

C.
