I often have images taken in landscape where I would like to crop them to portrait, not rotate just crop the sides off to make it portrait. I can do it using aspect freehand, but it would be much easier to use a 2:3 aspect, but there isn’t one. I am guessing that this is possible, I just haven’t found it. Can anyone help please?
Thanks
Mick
Use the circle-arrow, as described here in the dartable documentation: crop.
Quote:
The button beside the aspect combobox allows you to switch between portrait and landscape orientation if you have selected a rectangular aspect ratio.
Edit: dartable → darktable

I just knew there must be a way! I had looked everywhere (well almost) and did not see that. Thank you both.
