Todo list, support, needed list. These are element where this suggestion could be submitted in. I have some $60 CUDA graphic cards. I am a criptocurrency miner over to be a photografer. We use CUDA NVIDIA cards to make hashes validations (thousands per seconds). Nvidia releases a kit to help developers to compile software with that very-very-powerfull support. Here, with Rawtherapee, it should be great to have this support. It is not needed in all functions. For example in only ONE and the most needed function that is the RAW conversion. If 640 floating points units of my 60 dollars card would have the support they can convert thousands of RAW files in seconds …

I made some first steps using opencl years ago, but then decided to first optimize for CPU, not GPU.
Maybe in future I will make a new try…
