Culling mode: Star rating affects all culled images, not only the hovered one

Darktable 5.7.0+515, Ubuntu 24.04, self compiled

I compare images in lighttable with culling (“X” or select and “Ctrl-X”). In culling mode I point to one image (hover, margin turns white) and type e.g. “2” to give it a 2 star rating. This star rating is applied to all the displayed images in the culling window.

I would expect it to be only applied to the hovered image. This was the case with darktable 5.4.1, as I’ve checked on another laptop.

My application of culling mode is selection. With this behavior selecting gets very tedious. Did I misconfigure something?

Please check with the latest nightly Appimage / self compile. There were some issues with ratings and selections that were fixed in the last weeks.

Thanks, @mino. Works now in current Darktable 5.7.0+835 as before and as expected: Star rating in culling mode only affects the hovered image.
