Dahle 507 rolling trimmer?

Hi all,

My old trimmer has grown too wobbly.
Does anyone have experience of a Dahle 507?
Is it sufficiently sturdy?

Any special pros or cons?

Sincerely,
Claes in Lund, Sweden

I do own the 508, which seems similar, just bigger, and find it reasonable sturdy, even a bit better than that. The only drawback I observe is that the alignment of the cutting edge and the plastic fence are not perfect. If I align paper on the plastic part, the cut is angled a bit. Not much, but sometimes it’s a bit obstructive. But I doubt that you can get something without such problems in that price range. And for the shorter cut length, it will be even less of an issue. All in all, I am happy with my choice, but the 508 is really huge, which requires much space to operate.

Thank you.
Yes, the 507 and 508 are identical except that yours is wider.
What made me think of the 50x was a video I watched,
showing how to adjust it, should it “come out of square”.

@Claes Coincidentally I own a 507 for 15+ years. Not that I use it often, but it’s still fine and precise. It also includes a 963 cutter head which is nice for vintage looks. Don’t know about pros and cons since I have no comparison. It just cuts what needs to be cut.

Danke!

Det var så lite så!
