Darktable 3.8 freezes on startup

Darktable 3.6.1 works like a charm on my Windows 10 Professional Desktop. Intel i7-7700K 4200MHz on a Asus B150M-C with 32GByte memory. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6G and an actual Driver Version: 30.0.14.9649 (GeForce 496.49) from 20-Oct-2021 Darktable 3.8 hangs on startup. Its empty application window freezes respectively slows down sharply. Deinstalling, reinstalling etc …no change. DT 3.8 just don’t run. do not download debs or rpms from the OBS. add the repository to your system and install packages via apt.

The Open Suse Build system repo, which is linked from the install page of the website.

Yes, exiv2 from your distro and from OBS. You want it from OBS.

Perhaps that’s a version Mac OS. Are you looking for a build of darktable that runs on Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra?
