I’m on Windows 10 and all versions after 5.3.0+204.g431fc97102-win64 are not opening.
When I launch DT after installing, a white window is showing and after that it freezes.
Is someone experiencing the same problem ? Any idea of a solution ?
Hey @jack_june welcome! Since you’re using a development version, I think the expectation is for you to provide a log and possibly a bug report if necessary.
Just tested my weekly build, 5.3.0_+224, and it works fine. You could grab it from the darktable windows insider post and see if the problem persists.
I am using the weekly windows insider build supplied by @wpferguson and it is working fine for me. Thanks Bill for supplying this every week.

Check that you don’t have an antivirus stuff blocking dt. Provide the log after starting dt from command line using -d common.
A few years ago i did have a similar problem. For me the issue was that somehow the “gdbus.exe” process associated with darktable didn’t close. Open taskmanager and check whether this still runs, if yes, kill the process and try again. You may also do a reboot to accomplish the same.

Indeed the “gdbus.exe” process does’nt close when I try to open DT, but after closing it with the taskmanager, DT is still freezing, even after reboot.
I have attached the logtext after starting from command line using -d common, but I did’nt find something wrong.
