Ok, so I just got around to updating to Darktable v5, and a strange bug happened: I couldn’t see any images that were edited in an older version (4.6 I believe).
I finally fixed it by going up to the “module order” filter in lighttable, selecting “none”, and then selecting “all images”. now all images show up. Does anyone know why this happens? Does this action cause some sort of background DB refresh or something?
I thought this would be helpful in case someone else experiences this. It really freaked me out at first.
In v5 there is a new module order version (called v5). So if you were filtering for v5 and hadn’t edited anything then nothing would show. You set the filter to “none” and then everything showed up.since you’re essentially not filtering anything
The filter was set to “all images”, and none of the images edited with the older version were visible. I then changed the filter to “none” and everything showed up. Then I set the filter back to “all images”, old edits were still visible.
Seems like a bug but I am glad I was able to figure out a work around.
