A few weeks ago I mentioned that the dtdocs PR backlog was quite large. I would like to thank @elstoc and @paperdigits for their massive effort this year to clear the backlog, and additionally for making doc changes to ease future maintenance.
It has been great to see so many people contributing doc PRs for review, and although 2026 may not be the year of the Linux desktop, I predict it is going to be the year of up-to-date darktable documentation.
Yes! A big thank you to the new contributors. A bigger thank you to @elstoc for the continued efforts. We’ll need to get the translation app going again so we can start providing translations again.
I just merged a pretty end to end tutorial for contributing to the docs, mostly based on a post here by @hatsnp so thanks for that as well and hopefully it helps people get up to speed if they need it.
